- 6 large potatoes, cubed (Royal Blue are ideal)
- Desired amount of butter
- Milk (to your desired consistency)
- Salt to taste
- Placed cubed potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water.
- Bring to the boil and boil until tender.
- Drain the potatoes, return to saucepan and mash.
- Return to a very low heat and add enough butter and milk to bring to your desired consistency.
- Stir all ingredients together vigorously with a wooden spoon to make the mash fluffy. Add salt to taste.
