Mashed Potato


  • 6 large potatoes, cubed (Royal Blue are ideal)
  • Desired amount of butter
  • Milk (to your desired consistency)
  • Salt to taste


  1. Placed cubed potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water.
  2. Bring to the boil and boil until tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes, return to saucepan and mash.
  4. Return to a very low heat and add enough butter and milk to bring to your desired consistency.
  5. Stir all ingredients together vigorously with a wooden spoon to make the mash fluffy. Add salt to taste.
