Onion Fritters

Episode 87 - Onion Fritters


  • 4 Brown Onions
  • Normal Rice Flour (or roasted rice flour)
  • ½ spoon of Turmeric Powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Water (for mixing)
  • 2 cups Canola Oil


  1. Peel the onions and slice evenly. Place in a large bowl.
  2. Mix the rice flour in with the onions.
  3. Pour in water, turmeric & salt and stir thoroughly to make a firm batter.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer.
  5. When the oil is hot enough, drop spoonfuls of the mixture in.
  6. When they are nice & crispy, remove and place onto absorbent paper.
Can be served hot or cold.
