Episode 92 - Choc Orange Self Saucing Pudding


  • 125g Butter (softened)
  • 3 teaspoons Orange Rind (finely grated)
  • 1/3 cup Castor Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1½ cups Self Raising Flour
  • 150ml Orange Juice
  • 100g Milk Chocolate Chips
  • Vanilla Ice-Cream Chocolate Sauce:
  • ¼ cup Cocoa Powder (sifted)
  • 1 tbsp Castor Sugar
  • 400ml Boiling Water


  1. Beat butter & orange rind until light & fluffy.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition.
  3. Beat eggs in one at a time.
  4. Beat in flour and orange juice. Then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Spoon batter into a large greased oven proof dish.
  6. Combine cocoa & castor sugar in a bowl then sprinkle over batter in dish, then carefully pour boiling water on top.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes, in a 180ºC oven or until firm.
  8. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream!
