Sesame Chicken Tenders with Asian Greens and Tamari/Honey Sauce

Episode 115 - Sesame Chicken Tenders with Asian Greens and Tamari/Honey Sauce


  • Tamar / Honey Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp Tamari Sauce
  • 3 tbsp Water
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons Potato Starch
  • Sesame Chicken Tenders:
  • 8 Chicken Tenderloins
  • 1 cup Sesame Seeds
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 – 2 tbsp Chilli Flakes
  • Large pinch Sea Salt


Tamar / Honey Sauce:
  1. Place all ingredients except starch in a small pot.
  2. Heat and stir until oil and honey have combined.
  3. Add potato starch and stir continuously until sauce has thickened to required consistency.
Sesame Chicken Tenders:
  1. Heat frying pan with oil.
  2. Mix sesame seeds, chilli flakes and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Whisk eggs in a separate medium bowl.
  4. Dip individual tenderloins in egg to coat then coat in sesame mixture and place straight onto heat frypan until cooked through.
  5. Set aside for serving.
Bok Choy:
  1. Place Bok choy quarters into boiling water for up to one minute – or until vibrant green colour.
  2. Remove from boiling water and run under running cool water quickly to stop cooking process.
  3. Be careful not to make them too cold.
  4. Serve chicken tenders and bok choy with Tamari/Honey Sauce
